Here is mine:
Embracing the Grind
As an entrepreneur, the journey can often feel like an uphill battle. It’s essential to embrace the grind and understand that hard work is a vital ingredient for success. The late nights and early mornings may take a toll, but remember: every ounce of effort you put in shapes your dream into a reality.
Good Things Come to Those Who Work Hard
It’s a common saying, but it holds immense truth for business owners. The more you invest yourself into your work, the more likely you are to reap the benefits. Whether you’re refining your product, building a marketing strategy, or connecting with clients, remember that each task brings you one step closer to your goals.
Staying Motivated Through Challenges
The road of entrepreneurship is fraught with challenges. However, it’s crucial to stay motivated during tough times. Surround yourself with a strong support network, seek inspiration from mentors, and remind yourself of the reasons you embarked on this journey. Hard work isn’t just about long hours; it’s about perseverance and believing that good things will come to those who don’t give up.
My name is Cam (Fuzzy) DAndrea.
My Life in a nutshell (Entrepreneurship)
“This bio is about creating the life you want. No one else will do it for you. When life knocks you down, get back up and keep going.”
I was born in 1964 at 4lbs 6ozs, my folks (who I do not know to this day) put me up for adoption and in three months I was adopted by a farm family from Southern Alberta, Canada.
Now, being raised on a farm is the ultimate life back then having animals to feed land to sew and just having the freedom to rome with no cell phones, a land line phone in the home which was a party line with one other family (we did finally get two-way radios and then cell phones in 1980 big phones haha). Anyhow, After having allot of fun and living through my young life in 1982 actually 1983 I graduated cause I had to get more credits to get my paper which I didn’t give a flying pig about cause it wasn’t going to have any baring to what I wanted to do (FARM).
My Dad died in 2012 who tote me a ton about pretty much everything except electrical work cause he hated it other than that he tote me to farm, mechanical work, weld, wood work etc. the best of all common sense witch I’ve learned over the years either you have common sense or you don’t cause it’s really hard to teach even to your kids ya need a ton of patients and it still may not work.
In 1988 I married my girlfriend and surprisingly we are married to this day (she’s a tough go marriage is) we had our first child in 1989 and stayed on the farm until 1990 when I told the wife that I need a break and ended up moving around until settling in Lethbridge where our second child was born in 1990 and on the day he was born is when I started my new job with a funeral home wanting to maybe be a Mortician, so after a year they wanted me to take my Mortician licence and for me to pay for it I said nope and ended up quieting. Having enough of the city life the next day I decided to move back to the farm, uprooting the parents again sent them back to town and remained on the farm until the family decided to sell in 1998 due to no land to buy and get bigger where we farmed margins where getting tighter and tighter.
From there we moved north 5 hours away buying a quarter section, farmed it a worked off the farm for the local county driving truck in the summer and plowing highways (this will make you a little nervous) with another company in the winter eventually quite that and went on to pulling Super-B’s for a farmer 2 hours away hauling grain and fertilizer in the winter still working for the local county in the summer for 8 years. In 2004 we decided to sell the quarter (hard to make a living off the farm when the crop get’s hailed out 6 years in a role) and move 7 miles away to a small village where I then started looking for something else to do other than drive truck. A friend offered me a job pipelining as a contractor running excavator’s, caterpillar’s, graders and other equipment. Leaving the young family sometimes going into camp for days on end which all came to an end a year later, now scrambling on what to do my good friend called me up and said Cam come and cut grass with me I hesitated for a few days and finally said OK lets give it a shot, so I stayed with him 4 days out of the week on his acreage close to Calgary and helped him to try it all out and in the spring of 2006 I said ok I’m gonna do this for a living so I found a couple of small lawn care companies that wanted to sell ended up buying those companies and carried on with their cliental, uprooted my family and moved all of us to a town south of Calgary and built from there.
My company is now in it’s 20th year making a great living with quality work and satisfied clients who sign on every year (I’ve got two client that I’ve never met) which tell me I’ve got QUALITY WORK and TRUST.
In 2020 I also started a Handyman (called “Bored Husbands Handyman Service”) business to keep me busy in the winter month when it’s not snowing.
My Lawn Care Co.
TLC Lawn Care and Yard Maintenance was established in 2006 and has been providing lawn care services for the past 16 years. We are a family owned and operated business serving Airdrie, Calgary, Okotoks, High River and Nanton. Our team enjoys making a difference in the community.
I’m still Landscaping but in April of 2023 I started my journey as an influencer with Amazon creating review videos on products I’ve either bought off Amazon or already have that are sold on Amazon here are my stores (ckick on the country you by from Amazon from). Via Canada, Via USA, Via UK. I also make UGC videos for brands from all over the world they send me the product for free and I shoot a video for them then I keep the product (believe me, I pick the products I’m interest in) I also have a Gig setup on “Fiverr” it’s a freelancer website where company’s/brands get ahold of me and want to shoot videos or other. I’m loving the Influencer Gig as I enjoy telling the comsumers buying the product I choose to review the truth about the product their about to purchase. It is now Nov/2024 and I have Brands/Sponsers emailing me to review their products after watching my videos in my Amazon store, I can’t hardly keep up.
My final words will be: keep pushing and good things will come along
